The Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis is an international religious community which follows in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. The members are committed to sharing in the healing mission of Jesus.
The American Province sponsors Hospital Sisters Health System a multi-institutional healthcare system that owns and operates 13 hospitals – eight in Illinois and five in Wisconsin. The Province also sponsors Mission Outreach which continues their missionary spirit through education and awareness programs, cross cultural mission experiences, and a medical equipment/supply distribution and recycling program.
