"Canticle of the Creatures" was designed especially for Chiara Center by stained glass artist Dieterich Spahn of the Willet Hauser Studios, Philadelphia, PA and Winona, MN. Mr. Spahn was born in Cologne, Germany and studied liturgical arts including stained glass window design for sacred spaces. To date, he has completed over 3,700 stained glass windows throughout the United States. The "Canticle of the Creatures" is displayed in two sections. The lower section depicts the companionship between Francis and Clare while the upper section illustrates Francis’ insight into the relationship of all creation.
